FAQs

Questions, questions, questions. So many questions! But we want to make sure we answer as many of them as we can. If something’s missing, email us at enquiries@rachx.com

Our garments

Is everything made in the UK?

Yes - we’re a registered member of Made in Britain, which means that our manufacturing processes have been checked and confirmed as being based in Britain.

Most of our garments are mad in Bishop Auckland in the North East of England and Birmingham.

The fabric for our garments and some of the metal buckles and other trims are currently imported, as we can’t source them in the UK in the small batches we need. We’re always looking to improve on this, and our overseas fabric supplier has a strong sustainability agenda. It’s the best we can do, for now…

Is all your clothing limited edition?

Yes, everything is made in limited edition small batches.

Will my item look exactly the same as the one in the product photo?

It will be very, very close to what you see in the photos but there may sometimes be slight variations. This is because we source our materials in small batches.

The main difference you might notice is in the metal fastenings (buckles, clips and D-rings) on the dungarees. These will always be antique brass in colour, but you may find small variations in tone, size and shape between batches. Needless to say, we always source our materials for great quality and a high standard of finish.

How do your sizes translate to UK sizes?

Please check our sizing page for exact measurements, but as a rule of thumb:

Women's

  • Extra small is a UK 8
  • Small is a UK 10
  • Medium is a UK 12
  • Large is a UK 14
  • Extra large is a UK 16
  • Extra extra large is a UK 18

Men's

  • Small is 32 inch waist
  • Medium is 34 inch waist
  • Large is 36 inch waist

My size isn’t available. Will you be offering more sizes in the future?

We plan to add more sizes as soon as we can.

The piece I wanted has sold out! Will you be making any more in the same range?

The simple answer is yes, but you may need to wait a short while. All our garments are limited edition, made in small batches, and if they’ve sold out then drop me an email at enquiries@rachx.com. I’m always working on new collections, though, so subscribe to my emails to avoid missing out!

Do you have any plans to expand the range?

Absolutely! We have all sorts of exciting plans… Our founder Rachel started off as a surface pattern designer so we’ll be introducing her prints to the range when we can.

Ordering, delivery and returns

What will happen once I’ve put in my order?

Good question! Once you’ve paid online, you’ll receive a confirmation email.

We’re going to answer the rest of the question as if you’ve ordered anything from the collection that is currently in stock. Everything is made in small batches. If we have them in stock, they’ll be dispatched within 7 days. If they’re out of stock but available for preorder, we’re currently having more made up. You can still place an order but there will be a wait before you receive it. That wait could be between 6 to 12 weeks.

Once your order is ready, we’ll pack it and send it to you by Royal Mail tracked and signed. We also use other courier providers at times based on your delivery location. It’ll arrive with you, you’ll open it, fall in love with it and wear it happily for years!

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Please check the (long) answer above! Most items will be no more than four weeks, and up to 12 weeks if they’re on preorder. Please get in touch if you have any questions.

How will my order be shipped?

Orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48 with Signature or Royal Mail Signed For® 2nd Class.  We also use other courier providers at times based on your delivery location

I live overseas. Can you ship my order outside the UK?
